Delhi High Court upholds District Magistrate's power to evict children who do not maintain their parents

The Delhi High Court has upheld the District Magistrate's power under the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009 to evict children, who do not maintain their parents, through a summary procedure.

The judgement was passed by a Division Bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and V Kameswar Rao in a petition challenging Rules 22(3) and 22(4) of The Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2016 . . .
