The Delhi High Court today gave the Delhi Police eight weeks to file the final report in its investigation into the mysterious death of socialite Sunanda Pushkar..The Court stated that it will not allow any more delay in the investigation, which had been reinvigorated by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy’s PIL seeking a court-monitored SIT probe..The Police stated that it will use narco analysis techniques to question the people involved the case. Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Jain also informed the Court that the Enforcement Directorate can file a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act to investigate the Indian Premier League (IPL) corruption angle..Swamy had alleged that Sunanda Pushkar was going to reveal information regarding murky dealings in the IPL, which might have been the reason behind her alleged murder..The MP had also criticised the Delhi Police’s status report, submitting that it had falsely stated that there was multiplicity of opinions tendered by the Autopsy Board of AIIMS, while in reality the Medical Board at AIIMS clearly gave the same opinion on every occasion. The Bench of Justices GS Sistani and Chander Shekhar also asked the Delhi Police to file an affidavit within 2 weeks, stating its plan of action.
