Madras HC Collegium Row: BCI steps into fray; Expresses dissatisfaction with Division Bench order

The dispute over a list of 12 names recommended for elevation to the Madras High Court is now heading to the Supreme Court with the Madras High Court planning to file an appeal before the Apex Court. The appeal, likely to already have been filed, is against an interim order passed by the High Court’s Division Bench of Justices V Dhanapalan and Justice K K Sasidharan. Meanwhile, the Bar Council of India has also stepped into the picture, stating that it was “not satisfied” with the order of the Division Bench.
