After two years of working in a law firm, a dream to study in Oxford grows within you. A dream that was never really there, but one that you are now convinced you must pursue. When I say “Oxford”, I’m only referring to any colonial or renowned western university. It appears that the Indian fascination with white skin and other things western extends to education as well. Though the lines before this are a dead giveaway about which way I’m leaning, I will, through this piece, attempt to dispassionately weigh the pros and cons of studying abroad.
