The quiz will draw on multiple disciplines including politics, history, law and international affairs.
There will be four regional rounds held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Pune and Delhi. The top teams from each round will fight it out in the finals, to be held on August 20 in the capital.
Here is a timetable of the rounds:
|South||School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore||July 23|
|West||Symbiosis Law School, Pune||July 30|
|East||KIIT Law School, Bhubaneswar||August 6|
|North (and National Finals)||Indian Law Institute, New Delhi||August 20|
In an email to Bar & Bench, co-founder of CLPR Sudhir Krishnaswamy said,
“The quizzing culture is India is vibrant in several parts of the country. The most popular and famous quiz events however are restricted to information technology and corporate affairs. At the Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR) we will build a national quiz event that is based on the Indian Constitution, history and politics.
Using the quiz as a pedagogical tool, we aim to make students engage with and appreciate India’s rich constitutional and political history in an interesting and exciting way. Through this we hope to create a culture among the young in India that puts constitutional values at the centre of public discourse.”
Prizes worth one lakh rupees are up for grabs. For more details, visit the ConQuest website. Interested students can follow the CADIndia Facebook page and the Twitter handle @CLPR_CADIndia for updates.
