He has been advising blue-chip MNCs and foreign investors in relation to Indian M&A. Legal500 recently profiled Sumesh as a part of Clifford Chance’s “team of strong corporate counsel” and someone “whose ‘excellent knowledge of Indian law’ is proving a real boon to growth in work related to that emerging market”..Sumesh has been a Partner at Clifford Chance since 2010. Prior to Clifford Chance, he was working with Amarchand Mangaldas, a firm he joined in 2000 and where he was made Partner in 2003.
