The revised First Provisional Allotment List for undergraduate students has been published on the CLAT website..The CLAT Committee had decided to review and revise the first list published on June 2, 2013 after allegations of various discrepancies in the First Provisional Allotment List had cropped up with respect to the law schools allocated to various candidates. In addition, the Kerala High Court had issued notice to HNLU in a petition filed by 4 candidates alleging that they were allotted CNLU despite giving NUALS as their preferred NLU..According to the notification on the CLAT website,.“In the process of review of the university preferences it was found that at the time of design of the online application engine the preferences for the university were not arranged in their order of establishment. The web application designer was asked to make the desired changes to display them in the order of their establishment. Though the same was done, the internal codes depicting them were not revised for five of the Universities namely CNLU – Patna, NUALS-Kochi, NLU-Odisha, NUSRL-Ranchi & NLUJA-Assam. This discrepancy in internal codes was not communicated by the web application designer to either the designer of the seat allocation software or the technical person deployed for running the same. This lapse in communication & the fact that the seat allocation software had been designed to use the order of establishment of Universities as their respective codes resulted in incorrect allocations for online applicants allotted to CNLU – Patna, NUALS-Kochi, NLU-Odisha, NUSRL-Ranchi & NLUJA-Assam.”.Speaking to Bar & Bench, Advocate Hariharan, who represented the 4 candidates before the Kerala High Court, said that he was thankful to the CLAT Committee Convenor for the timely intervention and corrective measures. With controversies and errors becoming the order of the day as far as the organisation of CLAT is concerned, clamour for a Permanent CLAT body is likely to intensify..The revised First Provisional Allotment List and Waiting List are given below..Revised Provisional Allotment List.Revised Paid Waitlist
