by Rajneesh Singh.I wish you all to have lots of courage, a sound & rational mind, patience, wisdom, energy, faith, cool temperament and the urge to excel in difficult conditions..One suggestion – Selection of the questions to be rejected is more important than section of the question to be attempted. Out of the 150 questions (excluding GK) one has to reject 30-40 questions to get in to the top 3 NLUs...Whenever you attempt extra questions, you not only do injustice to those questions by not giving them proper time, you also take away the precious time of some other questions which you do in hurry to create extra attempts..This way you end up getting lots of negative marks. An accuracy of 80-90% optimizes your score..Dos.1. Carry at least 6 pencils. Dark enough and optimally blunted..2. Reach the centre by 2 pm (extremely important).3. Invest 1 to 2 min to go though the paper before you begin. If case you see any unusual trend then on the spot you change your strategies accordingly right in the beginning itself. Sometimes some pages are missing..4. Take small 15-60-200 second breaks in between if required due to being fatigue or if you feel mentally blocked in between. This investment will provide you with amazing returns. The breaks can be spend by simply closing the eyes/putting the head down..5. Do not attempt LA /LR in the last half..6. English should not be the last section. (Assuming that the paper has no surprises – Do changes your strategies if required according to the situations).7. GK is a good section to start with if you feel a bit nervous in the beginning and take a few minutes to settle down..8. Do mark the question in which you can rule out 1 or 2 options with desired confidence. Make a random marking out of the 2/3 left options. Do not try to make some intelligent guesses if you are not confident. It is better to mark randomly..Don’ts.1. Do not mark the questions which you are not confident with. Making a guess without being confident will be dangerous. You are most likely to mark the wrong one because options are made in such a way that you get trapped if not confirm about the answer. In fact it will be better to mark those randomly (every 16 mark randomly, without putting any though, will fetch you 1 mark)..2. Do not panic if questions appear to be unusual. It is for every one that you need to keep in mind. The cut off will go lower..3. Do not attempt any lengthy or difficult question in the first go. You must keep skipping them..4. Do not darken the ovals one by one. It kills lots of time..5. Make sure you do not tamper with the OMR sheet. Computers do not have a mind.
