Student who clears Class X exams cannot be denied Class XI admission in same school, Calcutta HCDecember 6 2018
The Calcutta High Court recently came to the rescue of a student who had been denied admission to class XI citing failure to clear the cut off, despite having cleared the class X examination in the same school.
Echoing the views in two Supreme Court judgments - Principal, Cambridge School v Payal Gupta and Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya v Sourabh Chaudhary, Justice Shekhar B Saraf emphasised,
"... a school cannot abandon its own student and leave him in the . . .
