The National Green Tribunal (NGT) was recently constrained to highlight that citizens are entitled to breathe fresh air, particularly amidst concerns of rising air pollution.
A four member Bench of the Principal Bench of the NGT, comprising Chairperson AK Goel, judicial members SP Wangdi and K Ramakrishnan and Expert Member Nagin Nanda was dealing with a plea challenging a decision of the Environment Pollution (Prevention & Control) Authority (EPCA) to ban the use of diesel generator sets . . .
