Centre notifies appointment of Advocate Mahendar Kumar Goyal as Judge, Rajasthan High CourtNovember 5 2019
The Central Government has notified the appointment of Advocate Mahendar Kumar Goyal as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court.
The Notification dated November 4, 2019, reads as follows,
"In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Mahendar Kumar Goyal, to be a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office."
The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Goyal as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court in July this year. Goyal's name was proposed by the High Court Collegium in May last year, along with the names of eight other advocates.
