Centre notifies appointment of advocates Anoop Chitkara, Jyotsna Rewal Dua as judges of Himachal Pradesh High Court

The Central government has notified the appointment of Advocate Anoop Chitkara as a permanent judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court.

Further, advocate Jyotsna Rewal Dua has been appointed Additional judge of the High Court for a period of two years.

Both Chitkara and Dua were recommended for elevation to the Bench by the Supreme court Collegium on April 30.

Chitakara was designated Senior Advocate by the Himachal Pradesh High Court on March 29.

Along with Chitkara and Dua, the Collegium had also recommended the name of advocate Satyen Vaidya.

The name of Vaidya has, however, not been notified yet.
