Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi today said that the process by which listed cases are being deleted from the final list is “ridiculous”..He also explained the reasons for the same, while saying that the Court is trying to address the problem..The remarks were made when a lawyer made a mentioning stating that his case was deleted from the list..“It is ridiculous”, Gogoi J. remarked..He also proceeded to explain the reason why matters get deleted from the list..“I am told by the Registrars that only four or five of slots are available for cases without specific (judicial) order for listing..When a case comes by way of a specific judicial order, some case which has been listed without a specific judicial order is picked randomly and deleted.”.Gogoi J. said that the Court has been trying to address the issue.
