Call for Papers JGLS Research Colloquium on Contemporary Challenges of Law in India Abstracts to be submitted by December 15 2012

Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat (JGLS) will be organizing a National Student Research Colloquium on ‘Contemporary Challenges of Law in India’ from March 21-23, 2013. The Research Colloquium will provide visibility for student research that critically analyzes the formation and functioning of the Indian legal system over the last six decades. Interested parties may submit their abstracts by December 15, 2012..The Colloquium seeks to proffer students a forum to present and discuss their research and seek comments on the same, from distinguished panelists and fellow participants. JGLS believes that such a forum will facilitate collaboration, publication and further dissemination of this crucial research on contemporary issues. It will further serve as a fruitful pedagogical tool for the students in inculcating research and scholarship among them..Papers are welcome from law students that critically analyze the formation and functioning of the Indian legal system over the last six decades. The Indian legal system is confronted by multiple challenges including globalization, the growth of the regulatory capacity of the State and the immense expansion of private law issues. Therefore, the purview of the research colloquium has been kept deliberately large. Papers from both private and public law as well as those on sectorial dynamics are welcome..This is open to students pursuing a B.A. LL.B., LL.B. as well as an LL.M..A 500 word abstract is to be submitted to src@jgu.edu.in and djain@jgu.edu before December 15, 2012.
