Call for Advocates: iProbono is looking for lawyers who can represent child survivors of sexual abuse in trial courts in Delhi

In March 2015, iProbono constituted panels of criminal and civil lawyers for pro bono legal services in Supreme Court and Delhi High Court. Since then, our lawyers have provided pro bono legal representation to over 41 children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This year, iProbono is launching its latest initiative: The Trial Court Panel for Children. Since trial is the the foundation of successful prosecution, iProbono is building a community of trial lawyers, who can assist children in accessing justice and a secure future.

iProbono plans to constitute a Panel of motivated trial lawyers to whom we will refer cases to over the next two years. The Panel will represent children from low-income backgrounds and lawyers will be paid a reduced fee by iProbono.

Preference will be given to lawyers who have relevant past experience in handling POCSO and other criminal matters. The Panel will consist of 10 advocates, who will typically have a minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation. Panel members will be selected in consultation with senior lawyers and experts in the field.

Interested candidates may apply latest by December 10, 2017.
