Breaking: Supreme Court seeks presence of CBI officer in Unnao Rape Case, trial may be transferred to Delhi

In a major development, the Supreme Court today sought the presence of a responsible Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer to apprise it of all details on the Unnao rape case.

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi gave this oral direction just before the mentioning started.  He said,

"We want a responsible officer of the CBI to come."

The CBI officer is required to appear before the Court at 12 pm today.
