Breaking: Supreme Court confirms death penalty for all four accused in #Nirbhaya case [Read judgment]May 5 2017
The Supreme Court today confirmed the death penalty for all the four accused in the Nirbhaya case.
The judgment was pronounced by Justices Dipak Misra, R Banumathi and Ashok Bhushan at 2 pm. Justice Banumathi delivered a separate, concurring judgment.
Senior advocate Sidharth Luthra appeared for the State of NCT of Delhi. Advocates ML Sharma and AP Singh represented the four convicts while Senior Advocates Raju Ramachandran and Sanjay Hegde served as Amicus Curiae.
