In a significant development, the Bombay High Court today issued notice to the Central government in a petition challenging Sections 156 to 189 of the Finance Act, 2017 and the Tribunal, Appellate and other Authorities (Qualifications, Experience and other conditions of Service of Members) Rules, 2017.
The petition filed by Tax Friends Association was heard by a Bench of Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice NM Jamdar.
