Bombay High Court directs lower courts to have all-women staff for cases involving violence against women Direction to be implemented by today

The Bombay High Court has issued a circular dated March 7, 2013 stating that it was “desirable” that courts hearing cases involving sexual assault against women have court staff (typists, stenos, and peons etc) be women. The circular states that these instructions are to be implemented from today itself, since March 8 is celebrated as “a Women’s Day”.
