BJP Rath Yatra: Supreme Court issues notice to West BengalJanuary 9 2019
The Supreme Court yesterday issued notice to the State of West Bengal in the petition filed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) challenging the decision of the State government to refuse permission for the Party's proposed "Rath Yatra" in the State.
The matter was initially listed to be heard by the Bench headed by the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi. However, it was heard by a Bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao and Sanjay Kishan Kaul since CJI Gogoi was unavailable . . .
