The notification also states that the protest should be peaceful and in a dignified manner..As reported by Bar & Bench yesterday, lawyers in Jaipur had gathered outside the High Court and had begun marching towards the State Assembly demanding redressal of their greivances including demands for a “residential project at subsidized rates” when they allegedly broke through the barricades and manhandled the police..In Chandigarh, lawyers of the Punjab & Haryana High Court were lathi charged and faced water cannons outside the State Assembly while protesting against the registration of a complaint against twenty advocates. However, the Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court, exercising suo moto powers, has directed the the proceedings of the FIR against the lawyers be stayed.
