The long weekend just got longer for Delhi lawyers (unless you practice in the Supreme Court, of course). The Delhi High Court and district courts in the capital will observe a holiday on August 14 on account of Janmashtami, as per a notification issued by the High Court's Registrar General.
In order to compensate for the same, the second Saturday of September, falling on the 9th, will be a working day. Cases listed for August 14 will be taken up on August 16, a day after Independence Day . . .
