The Supreme Court on Friday directed for the release of those illegal immigrants lodged in Assam detention centres who have completed three or more years in detention.

The Bench of Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Sanjiv Khanna ordered for the release of the detenues but with some conditions.
