RMLNLU adjudged semi finalist at NLUO-PHFI Public Health Law National Moot

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow has emerged as the Semi Finalist at the 1st NLUO, PHFI Public Health Law National Moot Court Competition organised by the Centre for Public Health Law, National Law University, Odisha. The team also bagged the 3rd Best Memorial citation.

The team comprising Ms. Aarushi Jain, Ms. Saima Khan and Mr. Ashutosh Yadav (Class of 2025) represented the University at the moot court competition.

The team broke into Octa Finals with Rank 2 and subsequently, in Semi Finals with Rank 1 in oral rounds. 62 teams from across the country participated in the competition which consisted of a Preliminary Round, followed by Octa finals, Semi Finals & the Finals over the course of 4 days.

The team has expressed its gratitude towards the Moot Court Committee of RMLNLU for this wonderful opportunity as well as the Centre for Public Health Law, National Law University, Odisha for conducting the event.

The subject-matter of the Moot was based on the issue of compulsory vaccination and immunity to vaccine developers and manufacturers along with ancillary issues of federalism in the context of Public Health policy.

The judges in rounds included senior advocates from the Supreme Court, senior attorney of the United States house of representatives, public health consultants and various firm associates.
