As many as 28 students from National Law University, Jodhpur’s (NLU J) 2018 batch have been placed at various law firms and organisations.

Luthra & Luthra was the most prominent recruiter, hiring 9 students of the 2018 batch. This is followed by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas with 6 and Khaitan & Co and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas with 3 each. Trilegal hired 2 students, while Nishith Desai Associates and Majmudar & Partners hired 1 each. Majmudar also offered 4 assessment internships. One student also landed an in-house job at ICICI.

Two students were also given vacation schemes at international law firms; one each at Herbert Smith Freehills and Linklaters.

54 students out of a total strength of 103 of the class of 2018 chose to sit for recruitments. The batch bagged a total of 41 offers.

NLU J also released its recruitment figures for the 2017 batch. A total of 42 jobs were accepted, after the initial 28 on their Day Zero held in April last year. Cyril Amarchand was the heaviest recruiter here, with 10 hires, followed by Trilegal with 7, Luthra with 6 and Khaitan with 4. Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan hired 3 students, while Shardul Amarchand and Majmudar hired 2 each.

A total of 50 students out of the 83-strong 2017 batch opted to sit for placements.
