Amidst the chaos that reigned over Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) Raipur over the past couple of months, 56 students of the batch that graduated in 2018 have been placed.
In addition to this, 6 students were admitted for higher studies at various foreign universities like Queen Mary University, London, Vienna International School of Studies, University of Melbourne, and Cambridge University, among others.
As was the case for the previous batch, the biggest recruiter was the Chhattisgarh government’s Ministry of Law and Legislative Affairs, which offered jobs to as many as 15 students.
One student bagged a job at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, while 3 others were hired by Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan. 4 graduates were placed at Singh & Associates, while 3 others landed jobs at RRG Associates. The other law firms that hired from HNLU include Vaish Associates, Bharucha & Partners, PSA Legal, Themis LTC, TPM Solicitors and Consultants, Dave Girish & Co and Inttl AdvoCare.

A statement released by the Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC) reads,
“In the past two years, we have primarily focussed on getting assessment internships for students, a lot of which also turned into pre – placements offers. We also contacted as many firms, companies and other organizations as possible and brought some of them to campus for placement.
Some of the students have also opted for litigating and writing judiciary examinations. Numerous students have opted to take the UPSC and state PSC examinations.
We have been able to achieve the present result with the cooperation and constant support of our batch mates. With administration in better hands, we believe that HNLU might be able to increase the placements to even better numbers next year.”
The RCC comprised Akshay Mankar, Anmol Bhalla, Ishan Agrawal, Manya Gupta, Merlin Tigga, Praharsh Gour and Pranjal Doshi.
