For the seventh consecutive year, National Law School of India University, (NLSIU) Bengaluru has topped the list of best law schools in India as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2024) rankings..National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi), National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata retain their previous ranks at second, third and fourth respectively..Symbiosis Law School, Pune, which was ranked sixth in 2023 and third in 2022, is now at the fifth position. .This year's top four law schools replicate the NIRF rankings in 2023 and 2021.The announcement was captured in the live telecast by the National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology .The only other National Law University (NLU) making it to the top 10 this year is Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar at the eight position, one rank lower than the 2023 results. Jamia Millia Islamia which was ranked fifth last year, is now at the sixth position. Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur goes up by two ranks from last year and is currently ranked seventh. Siksha `O` Anusandhan has dropped by one rank since last year and is currently at ninth similar to its rank in 2022, while Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University remains at the tenth position similar to 2023 results.This year 195 law schools participated in the NIRF rankings, out of which only 11 National Law Universities made it to the top 30.The other National Law Universities making it to the top 30 are Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University [20th], NLIU Bhopal [21st], NUSRL Ranchi [22nd], The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala [24th] , NLU Cuttack [26th], NLUJA Assam [27th]
