Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.
This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.
In this edition, we speak with Roopam Dadhich, a fourth-year student at NALSAR University.
Why did you choose to study law?
Speaking from a perspective where I am already a 4th year law student, I'd say law made me a rational human being. The beauty of studying law is that you realise that there are so many perspectives in this world behind every process.
This makes law an intricate subject since you have to consider all those perspectives and fit it into a box to fabricate a perfect setup. But as a student who just came out of high school, I'd say i wrote CLAT and chose law because I didn't have anything else to do.
It seemed like an interesting test at that moment. But I feel very fortunate that I made that choice.
What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?
Bar and Bench is a premier online platform for legal news and it serves as a stepping stone for the students of law to understand the updates and intricacies of legal news from all the fields.
And thus it enhances the quality of legal scholarship available to students and practitioners. I believe being part of such a project is very honourable for a student of law.
What are your plans after completing law?
I plan to become a corporate lawyer. However, my goal is to explore as much as I can in the field of law.
