Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.
This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.
In this edition, we speak with Dev Sareen, a third-year law student at University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.
(Edited excerpts)
Why did you choose to study law?
Law is a multi-faceted subject that expands its scope to the human endeavour, intellect and emotion. Law as a subject has fascinated me since my juvenescence.
From all the debates I had, all the discussions I indulged in, there was a component that I needed in my higher studies and that was awareness instilled with reasoning.
This subject develops not only knowledge but skills that not only helps in pursuing a legal career but prepares a person for a long journey of life. I am very fortunate to have chosen this subject.
What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?
Bar & Bench is the premier platform that turns all the mirrors into windows with thought-provoking discussions, exclusive articles and wide coverage of legal news. Contributing to this institution is contributing to the society and the legal fraternity as whole.
What are your plans after completing law?
For now litigation intrigues me the most but I would love to explore the wide horizons offered by law.
