Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.
This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.
In this edition, we speak with Aashi Shah, a third-year student at Pravin Gandhi College of Law in Mumbai.
Why did you choose to study law?
One of the fundamentals of law is research. Proper research can change the course of a case. As a law student, I get to research and understand the nuances in several aspects of life.
I took up law to understand the power it has on people's lives and to mitigate their struggles. I wanted to choose a career that is stimulating and rewarding at a personal level and beneficial and transformative at a professional level.
What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?
The legal profession demands you to be updated with the status quo of the country. Bar & Bench has been a leading media company for legal affairs in India.
I am always updated with the working of the courts as well as that of law schools because of Bar & Bench. To be affiliated with Bar & Bench is an honor in itself. Being a Campus Ambassador, I want my University and law students to be acquainted with the outstanding work of Bar & Bench.
What are your plans after completing law?
I want to work as an Associate in a leading law firm.
