Jindal Global Law School beats University of Oxford to win Oxford Price Media Law Moot Court Competition

The team from Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), Sonepat has won the Oxford Price Media Law Moot Court Competition hosted by the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, University of Oxford, UK. JGLS winning team includes Mohanakrishna C., Bani Brar and Ronak Talati.

The students of JGLS won against the team from the University of Oxford in the finals; Queen Mary University in the semi-finals and the Singapore Management University in the quarter-finals to achieve this feat.

Professor C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor, O.P. Jindal Global University and Dean, Jindal Global Law School said, “This is an extraordinary achievement for India and for Jindal, for which we can be genuinely proud of our students and of course, the faculty members for the high quality of legal education, training and inspiration imparted to the students over the years.”

Last year, National Law University, Delhi had picked up the winning trophy at the international round.

The Price Media Law Moot Court Programme was founded in 1996 by Professor Monroe E. Price and Stefaan Verhulst with a grant from the Markle Foundation and the cooperation of the Howard M. Squadron Program in Law, Media, and Society at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York.
