Call for Papers: Third NLIU - India Foundation Constitutional Law Symposium

The NLIU Law Review is the flagship journal of National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

It is published bi-annually by the students of the university. It is a peer-reviewed academic law journal that aims to inculcate a culture of academic research and writing among students, and serves as an important forum for discourse on contemporary and pressing legal issues. 

The ten best articles will be presented at the symposium and published as a special issue of Volume XII of the NLIU Law Review.

Eligibility

Students currently pursuing an LL.B. (Hons.)/LL.B./LL.M. from a recognised university are eligible to send in entries. Co-authorship of a maximum of two authors is permitted.

Format

The manuscripts can be in the form of Articles (4000-8000 words), Case Notes (2000-5000 words), Legislative Comment (1000-3000 words), or Book Reviews (1000-3000 words). The prescribed word limits are exclusive of abstract and footnotes.

The Citation style to be followed by the authors is the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (4th ed., 2012).

Theme: "Individual Rights vis-à-vis the Constitutional Order".

The authors of the shortlisted manuscripts will be invited to present their papers for the symposium which will be conducted from 22 - 23 April 2023 physically at the NLIU Campus.  These shortlisted manuscripts shall also be published as a special theme-based issue in form of Volume XII Issue II of the journal.

The manuscripts have to be submitted via google form by 11:59 pm on 26 February 2023.

Prizes

First Prize : ₹25,000/-

Second Prize : ₹15,000/-

Third Prize : ₹10,000/-

Best Manuscript: ₹5,000/-
