Call for Applications: International Innovation Corps Fellowship, 2015

The International Innovation Corps (IIC) is accepting applications for its 2015 Fellowship programme. The IIC is a program to connect top-performing US and Indian college graduates with Indian public sector enterprises for one-year assignments that tackle discrete and tractable, but important social challenges..The IIC places teams of five outstanding and committed fellows to volunteer with a partner institution in India for a one-year period. Each team is comprised of graduates from a variety of disciplines who are trained in the US and India in innovative design, social entrepreneurship, management consulting skills, and leadership..In an e-mail to Bar & Bench, Ayesha Khan, graduate from NUJS Kolkata and current IIC fellow, revealed details about the programme..“I am currently doing this Fellowship and working with the National Skills Development Corporation for generating jobs in India. Prior to this I was working in Luthra & Luthra’s M&A division. I’m very enthused about the work I’m currently doing. This year’s batch was limited to 15 people (10 from the US and 5 from India) and we have an interesting mix of economists, science majors, environmental science majors, liberal arts majors, architects, engineers, finance people and a lawyer (me!). I’m having a great time doing this Fellowship and would heartily recommend it to all law grads.”.At least two top performers from the partner institution work with the IIC team for the duration of the project, with each team totalling seven members.
