Anuradha Lall joins PSA as Dispute Resolution Partner

Anuradha Lall has recently joined Priti Suri & Associates (PSA) as a Partner to head the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice after working as an Independent practitioner for almost eight years. Anuradha has become only the second partner at PSA after founding partner Priti Suri..Anuradha has around 18 years of experience working at law firms (both domestic and international), as an in-house counsel and as an independent practitioner..Speaking to Bar & Bench about her decision to join PSA, Anuradha said, “I was looking to associate and be a part of a bigger law firm. I met Priti and I realised that we are very similar in terms of our professional background, our work ethics and the professionalism. Also, I think she is very driven by quality of work. And I thought this would be the right fit for me and so here I am”..Anuradha started her career with Karanjawala & Co after graduating from Delhi University in 1994. Thereafter, she worked at IP firm Remfrey & Sagar for two years before pursuing a Masters course at the University of Glassgow in 1998..After finishing her LLM, she returned to India as an in-house counsel with Star TV, where she worked for about 2 years. In 2001, she joined the Chambers of Zia and Bahram (CZB)..Anuradha told Bar & Bench that she worked with CZB for a little less than a year and had to leave the firm sooner than she had thought, moving back to Gurgaon due to personal reasons. In Gurgaon, she set up her own independent practice as Chambers of Anuradha Lall..In 2006, Anuradha got the opportunity to do her second LLM (in Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration). She got full scholarship at Case Western Reserve University in the US. After completing her second LLM, she joined the India Practice team of Goodwin Procter in Washington DC, where she worked for a year. However, due to the recession and collapse of of Lehman Brothers, the main client of the firm’s India practice, the firm could not sustain its India practice..In 2009, Anuradha moved back to India and revived her practice and continued working independently till she decided to join PSA..Anuradha said, “PSA majorly focuses on corporate law though the firm has litigation and dispute resolution practice as well, which I would say, is more like a consequence of the corporate practice..Priti has numerous international clients who come to her for her corporate expertise. She wanted to have dispute resolution as a separate vertical in the firm to provide full service to her clients and for this she wanted me to come in and give direction to that space”..“I am looking forward to a challenging career with PSA”..Speaking to Bar & Bench Priti Suri, said, “Finding the right partner has to be a careful choice.
