Centre notifies appointment of Assistant Solicitor General, Central Government Counsel for Goa Bench of Bombay HC

The advocates have been appointed to conduct central government litigation before the High Court of Bombay at Goa.

The Department of Legal Affairs of the Union Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointment of an Assistant Solicitor General of lndia and three Central Government Counsel for conducting the Centre's litigation before the Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court, for a period of three years.

The order states,

"ln supersession of this Department's earlier Orders No. 36(3)/201 5-J udl. dated 24.07.2015 and No. J-1101712312018-Judicial dated 12.09.2018, the President is pleased to engage following advocates as Assistant Solicitor General of lndia/Central Government Counsel for conducting Central Government litigations before the High Court of Bombay at Goa, as shown in the table'A' and table'B'below, for a period of three years with effect from the date of this order or until further orders, whichever is earlier"

Pravin Faldessai

As per the order, Advocate Pravin Nilkanth Faldessai has been appointed as Assistant Solicitor General of India and Advocates Vishnuprasad Anand Lawande, Somnath Bhiku Karpe and Raviraj Ramesh Chodankar have been appointed as Central Government Counsel.

The appointments were notified on March 9, 2020.
