Bar & Bench

Advocate Gautam Bhatia has made it to the 2018 Forbes India 30 Under 30 list. The 29-year-old NLSIU Bangalore graduate is the only lawyer to feature among this year’s honours.

Bhatia, who also studied at Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship and holds a degree from Yale University, appeared along with Senior Advocate Arvind Datar for one of the parties opposing the Aadhaar scheme in the Supreme Court challenge.

Bhatia started his legal career in Delhi’s trial courts, assisting advocate Jawahar Raja.

He has also written a book on Constitutional Law and is the author of multiple articles on the subject.

Last year, Hrishikesh Datar, founder of vakilsearch.com, and Rohit Pothukuchi, founder of Standard Indian Legal Citation (SILC) had made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
