J&K HC Bar Association resolves to boycott Court of Justice Rajesh Bindal

The Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu has resolved to boycott the Court of Justice Rajesh Bindal from September 17 till a further decision is taken by the Association.

A Resolution to this effect was passed in a meeting of the Executive Committee/ Special Invitees of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association on September 16.

The meeting was called to discuss the “attitude/behaviour” of Justice Rajesh Bindal towards the Advocates in the Court.

The Resolution states,

“While speaking all the members in one voice resolved that the Bar should take some action on the attitude/behaviour of the Hon’ble Judge against the advocates. The members suggested that we should boycott the Court of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal for an indefinite period or till resolution of the issue.”

The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of President of the Bar Association, Advocate Abhinav Sharma.

The other office-bearers of the Association, as well as the office-bearers of the Young Lawyers Association (YLA), were also present.
