IILM strongly believes that classroom learning is not enough when it comes to legal education. Practical training in the form of moot courts, legal aids, internships stand equally important. We engage students in hands-on learning. To sharpen the oratory, persuasive and research skills, we have an active moot court society where we conduct intra college and inter college competitions to bring out the best in students. IILM 1st National Moot Court Competition, 2022 which witnessed huge participations from all over the country was a great learning and success.

IILM has a Legal Aid Centre where students through various village visits, public sensitization, free legal awareness campaigns thrive towards giving back to society while creating future leaders.

The quality of education that students receive at IILM Law School is what really stands out and sets it apart from other law schools. IILM has experienced faculties from across the country who are focused on research and support the overall development of students. Our students enjoy working closely on legal research and publications with faculty members.

IILM’s governing body comprises of some illustrious legal personalities, academicians and acclaimed professionals namely Justice Madan B Lokur, Dr SY Quraishi, Justice Manmohan Sarin, Shri Jyoti Sagar, Bobby Kewalramani, Mr Neeraj Kumar, Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, Mr Bishwajit Bhattacharyya and Dr Sujata Shahi who ceaselessly provide valuable direction to provide exceptional legal education.

Under the leadership of Pro chancellor Prof. (Dr) Ranbir Singh, former Vice chancellor and founder of NLU, Delhi and NALSAR, Hyderabad, the law school is on its way to strive for great heights.

Talking about the variety of courses, IILM Law School has entered the realm of law with five-year undergraduate courses of BBA LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons). We prepare students for careers at the intersection of law and other disciplines. Apart from a robust curriculum, the students are prepared for moot courts and variety of internships. IILM Law School also offers a one-year LLM program under the center of Post-graduate Legal Studies in seven specializations namely constitutional law, corporate and commercial Law, alternative dispute resolution, intellectual property rights, criminal law, cyber law, international law and human rights. In response to the industry demand, we are starting with a new course MBA (law) which is an interdisciplinary programme and is a unique combination of business and law.

IILM Law School is setting exemplary standards in providing experiential learning to all students pursuing legal education. IILM’s Career Resource Centre works untiringly to help students get quality internships and placements. Under the Centre of Excellence for Legal Writing (CELW), IILM aims to inculcate and develop a research-oriented curriculum for the students so as to enhance the legal writing and research skills.
