Delhi High Court Bar Association elects Sr Adv Mohit Mathur as President

Senior Advocate Mohit Mathur has been elected the new President of the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA).

The  DHCBA elections were held in the Delhi High Court on May 17.

Mathur won the office with 2,126 votes out of the total of 4,285 votes.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, the newly elected DHCBA President said that during his tenure of two years, the emphasis would be on inclusivity and upholding the dignity of the Bar.

We must bring inclusivity in our approach..uphold the dignity of the Bar which has witnessed some deterioration. The dignity of the Bar must be restored..The system needs some overhaul..Youngsters have to be given due respect in Court. ” Mathur said.

I don’t believe in tall promises.. We will do whatever is good for the fraternity system “, Mathur added as he remarked that he would be open to ideas and suggestion from everyone.

While Advocate Jatan Singh has been elected the Vice-President, Advocate Abhijat bagged the post of Secretary.
