Delhi Arbitration Weekend 2023: Registrations Open

DAW would be the centre stage of discussions and deliberations, covering a wide range of topics.

Delhi International Arbitration Centre has commenced the online registration for the first edition of its flagship event - Delhi Arbitration Weekend 2023.

The event is set to roll out with its inaugural session on 16 February, 2023 which begins with a special address by the Guest of Honour, Baron Goldsmith PC KC (Former Attorney General for England and Wales and Northern Ireland) Peter Henry Goldsmith followed by a keynote address by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.

DAW is spread over four days divided into multiple sessions featuring experts from across the globe.

Some of the eminent speakers include Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai, Justice Surya Kant, Justice S Ravindra Bhat, Justice V Ramasubramanian, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Hima Kohli, Justice PS Narasimha, VK Rajah SC (International Arbitrator, Duxton Hill Chambers), Prof. Doug Jones AO (International Arbitrator), Jimmy Yim (Senior Counsel and Chairman, Drew & Napier LLC), Rajesh Pillai KC (Barrister, Three Verulam Buildings), etc.

DAW would be the centre stage of discussions and deliberations, covering a wide range of topics including challenges and issues in arbitration ecosystem, limits to party autonomy, corruption in arbitration, construction claims arbitrations, investment treaty arbitrations, emergency arbitration, arbitrations in post-covid world, conflict of interest in arbitrations, etc.

With seats limited in number, those interested in participating are required to register online for the event on the official webpage of DAW. The registration will be subject to confirmation by the organizing committee.

DAW will also witness various social events being hosted externally such as:

1. On 15 February, 2023: Evening Reception by Indian Arbitration Forum and Accuracy

2. On 17 February, 2023:

a) Breakfast by Quadrant Chambers

b) Evening Reception and Book Release (Redfern and Hunter on International Arbitration) by Three Crowns

c) Evening Reception and Symposium on Construction Claims by Society of Construction Law (India) and Masin.

3. On 18 February, 2023:

a) Breakfast by Omni Bridgeway and Osborne Partners

b) Evening Reception by Brick Court Chambers.
