[COVID-19] Physical functioning of Delhi High Court and subordinate courts suspended till July 31

All the pending matters listed before the High Court from July 16 to July 31 stand adjourned to dates in September.

Physical functioning of the Delhi High Court and its subordinate courts will remain suspended till July 31.

A decision to this effect was taken by the Administrative and General Supervision Committee of High Court yesterday

All the pending matters listed before the High Court from July 16 to July 31 stand adjourned to dates in September.

Cases before subordinate courts have also been adjourned en bloc.

Physical filing of non-urgent/ordinary matters will be permitted in all the subordinate courts with the stipulation that all such matters be taken up for hearing only after the normal functioning of the courts is resumed.

The arrangements qua filing and hearing of urgent matters, as well as disposal of certain categories of final hearing matters by the High Court through videoconferencing, shall continue as before.

Subordinate courts will continue to hear urgent matters through video conferencing.

As per an Office Order issued on June 29, the suspended functioning of the High Court and other courts was due to end on July 15.
