CJI DY Chandrachud, Supreme Court judges pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri

Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud along with other Supreme Court judges on Wednesday paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri to mark the birth anniversaries of the two freedom fighters.

The top court along with other judicial institutions observes a holiday on October 2 each year to mark the occasion.

This morning, the CJI and other judges garlanded a statute of Gandhiji at the Supreme Court premises and a photograph of Shastri, India's former Prime Minister to pay tribute to the two leaders.

The CJI was also seen at the Gandhi Samadhi at Delhi's Raj Ghat earlier this morning, to pay his tributes.
