The workshop is scheduled to be held on June 29 and June 30, 2024.

Bar & Bench

There has been a lot of discussion in the past few years on legislating a separate law for Data Privacy in India. In August 2023, India enacted a Data Protection Law that will govern how entities process users’ personal data, that is the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“the DPDP Act”).

It is absolutely important for practicing advocates, in-house counsel, corporates, CA, CS, law students etc. to understand the framework of the DPDP Act, GDPR etc. and practical aspects from leading industry experts.

Bettering Results (BR) has curated a two-day Online Certificate Workshop on Data Protection and Privacy Laws after several discussions with industry experts to give you an in-depth understanding of the Act, GDPR, data breach management, the role of data protection officers, drafting of privacy policy, simulation exercises, etc.

This has already opened huge opportunities for lawyers, CA, CS etc. who have knowledge in the space and these opportunities are on the rise. In an increasingly digitized landscape, legal practitioners, CA, CS etc. must possess expertise in this domain to grow in their careers.

The highlight of this workshop is the simulation exercise given to participants and led by an expert, Mr. Supratim Chakraborty, Partner, Khaitan & Co. This will help you apply your practical learning through the workshop and get expert feedback.

The workshop also includes career guidance sessions as well as the opportunity to ask questions in the live sessions and access to recordings for one year.

Companies that we have had participants from include the Reserve Bank of India, Hindalco Industries limited, GMR Group, Powergrid Corporation of India Limited, Aditya Birla Finance Ltd, Adani Road Transport Limited, L&T Financial Services, Cybercity builders and developers Pvt Ltd, Om Infra Ltd, Gayatri Projects Limited, Cashfree Payments, L&T Defence, and JB Pharmaceuticals etc.  and law firms like Khaitan & Co., DSK Legal, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, etc.
