Pioneer Legal, Wadia Ghandy, Cyril Amarchand act on Kotak and PI Opportunities investment in Gold Plus Glass Industry

₹600 crore has been invested into Gold Plus Glass Industry.

Kotak Special Situations Fund and PI Opportunities Fund I – Scheme II have invested ₹600 crore in the glass manufacturing company, Gold Plus Glass Industry Limited, by subscribing to compulsorily convertible debentures.

Pioneer Legal advised and assisted Gold Plus Glass Industry Limited in relation to its issuance of compulsorily convertible debentures on a private placement basis to Kotak Special Situations Fund and PI Opportunities Fund I – Scheme II.

The Firm conducted the vendor legal due diligence; assisted in the negotiation of the term sheet; drafted, reviewed, negotiated, and revised the transaction documents, including the commercials thereof; and coordinated and assisted with the closing of the transaction, including drafting and reviewing documents in relation thereto.

The core transaction team consisted of Satish Kishanchandani (Managing Partner), Sanket Jain (Counsel) and Param Gupta (Associate)

The due diligence team consisted of Bhagyashree Madhekar (Senior Associate), Rushad Irani (Senior Associate), Yuga Kekare (Associate), Shweta Verma (Associate Trainee) and Sohini Banerjee (Paralegal).
