Khaitan & Co advises Manipal Hospitals on acquisition of stake in Medica

The deal amount is valued at ₹1,400 crore.

Manipal Health Enterprises Private Limited has signed a binding agreement to acquire 87% stake in Kolkata-based hospital chain Medica Synergie for ₹1,400 crore.

Khaitan has been a law firm of choice for Manipal Hospitals. Last year. Khaitan helped Manipal in acquiring controlling interest in AMRI Hospitals, which had hospitals in West Bengal and Orissa.

This acquisition of Synergie will only strengthen the holding of Manipal in eastern part of India.
