Khaitan, Bharucha, Shardul and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas act on InsuranceDekho's Series A funding round

Raising approximately ₹1,242.7 crore ($150 million), this is the largest Series A funding raised by an InsurTech in India.

Investcorp India Asset Managers Private Limited has invested in InsuranceDekho (Girnar Finserv Private Limited and Girnar Insurance Brokers Private Limited) as a part of the InsurTech's Series A funding round which raised an overall amount of approximately ₹1,242.7 crores ($150 million).

The funding round was led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and TVS Capital Funds. Aside from Investcorp, Avataar Ventures and LeapFrog Investments also took part in this funding round. 

Khaitan & Co advised Investcorp in this deal.

The transaction team consisted of Vineet Shingal (Partner), Harsh Khemka (Principal Associate), Srishti Mukherjee (Senior Associate) and Mokshita Jain (Associate) with assistance from Vivek Narayan (Associate) in Due diligence aspects.

Khaitan & Co (Chennai Office) acted for TVS Capital Funds in this deal.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, Gurugram, advised CarDekho, parent of InsuranceDekho, on this transaction.

The team comprised of Abhishek Dubey (Partner) and Mayank Malhotra (Principal Associate) advised CarDekho, parent of InsuranceDekho, on this transaction.

Bharucha & Partners advised InsuranceDekho (Girnar Finserv and Girnar Insurance Brokers) in their seed funding.
