CAM, Khaitan, Linklaters act on Bajaj Housing Finance IPO to raise 6,500 crore

The IPO is valued at ₹65,600 million.

Bajaj Housing Finance Limited has made an initial public offering of 937,142,856 equity shares of the Company aggregating to ₹65,600 million (Rs. 6,500 crore). The Offer consisted of a fresh issue of 508,571,428 Equity Shares aggregating to ₹35,600 million (Rs. 3,500 crore) and an offer for sale of 428,571,428 Equity Shares aggregating to ₹30,000 million (Rs. 3,000 crore) by Bajaj Finance Limited.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the Indian legal counsel to Bajaj Housing Finance and Bajaj Finance on this IPO.

Khaitan & Co acted as Indian legal counsel to the bankers, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, BofA Securities India Limited, Axis Capital Limited, Goldman Sachs (India) Securities Private Limited, SBI Capital Markets Limited, JM Financial Limited and IIFL Securities Limited, on this IPO.

The transaction team included Abhimanyu Bhattacharya (Partner), Thomas George (Partner), Nagashayana Srinivasaiah (Counsel), Pooja Agarwal (Associate), Aadhya Singh (Associate) and Mitluv Semwal (Associate).

Bajaj Housing Finance IPO was a historic one for the Bajaj Group after 31 years from their previous listing, with an aggregate issue size of ₹65,600 million. It was very well received by the market having received bids worth ₹3.20 Trillion and having over subscribed 63.61 times.
