About Society for Excellence in Constitutional Law and Public Policy (SECLPP)

The Society consists solely of students of all batches at Dr. RMLNLU, Lucknow. It is not an official body of Dr. RMLNLU, Lucknow. The Society aims at creating a platform for discussion around constitutional law & public policy issues, so that the students of Dr. RMLNLU develop excellence in the said subjects.

For the benefit of the student community, we hold discussions on the latest constitutional judgements and issues, and our alumni have constantly supported us by speaking on the same. We have also engaged in policy discussions and submitted our comments on draft legislations to Parliamentary Committees.

About The Law Culture

For the purpose of conducting the event, the Society for Excellence in Constitutional Law & Public Policy at RMLNLU is collaborating with ‘The Law Culture’. It is a portal founded and run by students from various law schools, which consists of passionate researchers and fellows who are deeply familiar with the various aspects of wide fields of law and public policy.

The portal is committed to making sure that it provides free access to important resources which are not readily available or accessible.

About the Speakers

Dr. Pinky Anand, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India (Former ASG)

Dr. Pinky Anand, a trustee of The Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust is a designated Senior Advocate and is the former Additional Solicitor General of India. A Doctorate of Law, graduate of the Harvard Law School and an Inlaks scholar, Honorary Professor at Amity Law School, she is the second woman in India to have been awarded this high Constitutional Law office.

A prestigious alumni of Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, she excelled in academics and also led the student community as the first woman Secretary of Delhi University Students Union.

She was presented with the Plaque of Honor by the Bar Council of India in 2015. She has been recognized as “Living Legend of Law” by the Bar Association of India.

Prof. (Dr.) Bharti, Professor, National Law University, Delhi

Dr. Bharti is a Professor of Law at NLU, Delhi. She joined NLUD in 2009. She has a long experience of teaching law since 1998. She has been a student of Delhi University and has taught at the Faculty of Law, Law Center I and Law Center II, D.U. before 2009 except for a brief stint at Amity Law School for six months. She has been Visiting Faculty at Indian Law Institute, Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training etc.

Eligibility and Streaming Platform

The panel discussion would cater to people from diverse backgrounds who would be interested in the topic.
