NLSIU wins Negotiation competition at IBA-VIAC Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition

The IBA-VIAC CDRC, 2024 was held from July 5-10 at Vienna.

A team from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore won the Negotiation segment of the International Bar Association - Vienna International Arbitral Centre (IBA-VIAC) Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition (CDRC), 2024.

The team comprised Siddharth Kaushik, Hemant Sangwan (both 3rd-year LL.B. students) and Tejas Chhura (Batch of 2024).

An all-girls team of Meenal Maheshwari and Aparimita Tiwari (5th-year BA LL.B. students) along with Yukta Chordia and Chinmayi Patil (4th-year BA LL.B. students) from Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Nagpur won the "Best Negotiation Advocacy" award.

Among the 42 teams competing, 14 were Mediator Teams and 28 were Negotiator Teams. MNLU Mumbai, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, OP Jindal Global University, and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Calcutta were among the other selected Asian teams.
