NLSIU to hold National Law School Admission Test for 3-year LL.B., Masters in Public Policy, PhD programmes

The all-India National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) is scheduled to be held on March 17, 2024.

National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore will conduct the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) for admission to the 3-year LL.B. (Hons), Master’s Programme in Public Policy, Ph.D (Law) and Ph.D (Interdisciplinary) programmes for the Academic Year 2024-25.

The exam is scheduled to be held on March 17, 2024 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM at test centres across the country. Application forms are available on the application portal admissions.nls.ac.in.

About the programmes

3-Year LL.B. (Hons) Programme

The 3-year LL.B. (Hons) is a postgraduate professional degree programme that is open to graduates from all disciplines. It is a qualifying degree for admission to legal practice. The programme meets all requirements of the Bar Council of India. It is structured around interdisciplinary study of the law combined with experiential learning.

Master’s Programme in Public Policy

The Master’s Programme in Public Policy is a two-year interdisciplinary programme focusing on the interface between policy and the law. This programme provides comprehensive training in designing public policies for complex societal problems, translating policies into deliverable programmes and evaluating the efficacy of policies.

Research Degree Programmes

The Ph.D (Law) programme offers candidates with a background in law to pursue their doctoral work in any domain of the law.

The PhD (Interdisciplinary) programme encourages students with any degree in the social sciences, humanities, engineering, medicine or any other inter or multi-disciplinary field to apply.

These programmes provide an opportunity for candidates to teach or participate in ongoing research at NLSIU, in areas related to their dissertation.
